The Cloverdale Idlewild Association (CIA) Spring Concert Series, starts this Sunday, April 3rd. The CIA concerts are well known to be fun and a great way to socialize. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to grab their neighbors, friends and family and come on down to the park.  Pets are also welcome (on the leash, of course).

WHERE: Cloverdale “Bottom” Park, at Cloverdale Rd and Ponce de Leon (From the “5-Points” intersection near the Capri, go south one block)

  • April  3rd Post Traumatic Blues Forum.   Soft Rock, old favorites and some “post traumatic blues.”
  • April 10th The “Little Big Band”.  Our “Seniors” are returning with big band sounds and perhaps a little Dixieland.
  • April 17th Rob Thornhill.  Wonderful song stylings and a light patter.
  • April 24th John Bull and Sheffield Walker.  They won’t have you singin’ the blues, but you’ll certainly be swingin’ to them.
  • May 1st MaxxBrass.  Big band brass from swing to Sousa.
  • May 8th Preston Frazier.  Master of the keyboard (our words, not his) and he sings too.  The full range of musical settings from popular to rock to country.  A great way to celebrate Mother’s Day.
  • May 15th Susan Woody.  She usually sings with the big band, but for us will be bringing a combo.  Promises to be very entertaining.
  • May 22nd Sean Donahue and William Watson.  A little rock, a little country, a little pop, a little something for everyone.

WHY: Mostly for the fun of it.

HOW: ADMISSION IS FREE.  Bring your chairs or blankets (or both), coolers, snacks.  Plan to sit under the beautiful oak trees in the park setting and enjoy the music.
