Seriously, what happened to good ol’ door-to-door neighborhood trick-or-treating?

Make plans to attend HullaBOO Fest at Old Alabama Town and participate in this time-honored tradition on Tuesday afternoon, October 24 from 4:30 until 7. Partnering with Metro PCS, the event will feature children’s games and craft activities, a costume contest and trick-or-treating throughout the Old Alabama Town Living Block museums. Historic characters, friendly freaks and solicitous scarecrows will be meeting, greeting and passing out sweet treats, no tricks required.

Demonstrate your pitching skills at the cornhole toss or try casting at the Go-Fish corner. Free hot dogs from That’s My Dog and drinks with music by DJ Kevin Nutt will be sure to keep spirits high and your heart pounding. Noted local celebrities will judge your creative and imaginative costume creations, so come strut your stuff in your Halloween finery at the witching hour of 6:00.

HullaBOO Fest is a free event for children kindergarten through fifth grade but all guests must get their tickets prior to the HullaBOO Fest. Tickets can be picked up at the Old Alabama Town Museum Store at 301 Columbus Street or at Metro PCS at 3454 Atlanta Highway. The freaky, frightening, fantastical and downright fun evening will begin at Lucas Tavern at 310 North Hull Street. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while at the event. For a SPOOKACULAR good time come to HullaBOO Fest at Old Alabama Town. For more information, www.oldalabamatown.com  or call 334-240-4500.
