A key visual feature of the Swayback Bridge Trail is – you guessed it – Swayback Bridge.  Fun fact: Swayback Bridge is a steel stringer bridge built in 1931.

There are several trails in the Swayback Bridge Trail system, each of varying length and difficulty.  You can walk a 1 mile loop that’s great for kids, or easily cross trails and enjoy 11+ miles.  This trail system is versatile, well-maintained and includes views of the bridge, streams, the foundation of a long-gone building, interesting trees, ferns, and other plants.  One of the best features is its location: only about 30 minutes from downtown Montgomery.
